Just outside the town of Ballinamore is Pól An Eas Waterfall, a true haven of natural beauty. Off the beaten track, this little waterfall takes you deep into the tranquillity at the heart of Leitrim. It is an ideal place for a picnic.
Similar to Fowley’s Falls, Pól an Eas (meaning waterfall bath or bathing place) is a cascading, double waterfall, with upper and lower levels. As the water rushes down from its mountain source it fills a stunning fresh water pool – often a hotspot for locals in the summer.
