‘Seanchas in Step & Song’, is a free children’s cultural workshop, led by Fionnuala and Ailíse Maxwell for those aged 7 – 12 years. Children will learn some local traditional songs, sean nós and set dances, whilst gaining an insight into our rich heritage of local music, dance and folklore.
No previous experience necessary but places are limited, therefore registration is necessary, by calling 0719645566/7. This event will tie in with the Tomás Ó Máille bilingual Exhibition celebrating the life and work of Ó Máille, first professor of Irish at University of Galway, being displayed in Ballinamore Library for Heritage Week.
