Located in the heart of peaceful countryside, Glenview Guesthouse offers relaxed surroundings for a holiday in Leitrim.
Glenview is the family home of Teresa and Brian Kennedy who personally look after their guests. Glenview House has its own restaurant and a choice of six en suite bedrooms and a number of self-catering holiday homes within a two minute walk of the main house. The Guesthouse is fully licenced for guests, has extensive gardens and a private hard surface tennis court.
The area is renowned for coarse fishing and the Kennedy’s go out of their way to assist their angling guests. In addition to complimentary angling maps, they are able to arrange a meet and greet service with a local angling expert and organise a guiding and pre-baiting service, including boat, to special isolated swims. They have a cold bait room available for guests and provide a bait delivery service and are stockists for Irish Bait & Tackle Limited.
Leitrim, and in particular the welcoming town of Ballinamore, has become a short-break base for motorists touring around Ireland. The Kennedy’s are heavily involved in Classic and Vintage cars clubs and are delighted to welcome and help visitors in creating a successful touring holiday.
Glenview Folk Museum is Leitrim’s only Museum and is on site with a superb private collection of over 6000 antique, historical and novel items ranging from pre-famine Ireland. There is an impressive array of farm yard equipment, a collection of horse drawn agricultural machinery, and a thrasher, plus a street scene has a number of reconstructed shops and a pub; all stocked, jam-packed with an assortment of products and equipped as they would have existed in the past.
