Beirnes of Battlebridge is a picturesque, family run camping and caravan set on the banks of the River Shannon. It is an ideal base for touring the North West of Ireland and is only a 10 minute walk to Leitrim Village – an access point to the Shannon Blueway – and a 10 minute drive to Carrick on Shannon.
It is an unusually charming camping and caravan park that has been lovingly created and carved from the heart of its stunning natural landscape. It really invites you to be at one with nature and the rustic surroundings of the site. There is a lovely atmosphere, in fact you might even feel like you’ve stumbled across a low-key festival!
They offer camping and caravan pitches and a number of luxury glamping options, that include an ecopod, a stilted cabin, a shepherd’s hut and a vintage caravan. The site is exceptionally well maintained and facilities include pristine showers and toilets, a slipway for boating, a children’s playground and laundry facilities.
An award winning Gastro Pub is onsite, serving delicious food and hosting trad music sessions at the weekends. You will find a warm welcome from staff and locals alike.
