Perlee’s music ebbs and flows between dream pop and slow core in the vein of the Cocteau Twins, Low and Yo La Tengo. So far they have released 2 E.P.s & an L.P. to excellent critical reception and radio play across Germany, Ireland, the U.S. and more. The band recently played two sold out shows in Ireland and now look forward to presenting the songs from their new album ‘Speaking From Other Rooms’ in Germany.
The couple, who originally met through the DIY scene in their hometown of Navan, formed Perlee whilst living in a small house in the farmer’s quarters of a large stately home, surrounded by huge trees, peacocks and farm dogs in a remote location.
Released on April 21st 2023, Speaking From Other Rooms is a celebration of an interior life and the desire to connect and love, be that unconditional, familial or romantic with a healthy dose of dystopia thrown in for good measure.
