Just like the old days – Come along to our Threshing & Vintage festival. Celebrate the rural Irish heritage of the past with the sounds and sights of a bygone era.
See a working Garvie Threshing Mill in action and many other vintage tractors and machinery on display used by rural Ireland. A tresher driven by a belt to an engine or a tractor separates grain from the stalk. Sheafs of oats cut locally with a vintage reaper and binder will be fed to the thresher in the afternoon. Don’t miss this farming demonstration of the past, familiar to many but worth seeing by people of all ages.
Festival kicks off at 12:00pm and includes Children’s Amusements, Bony Baby competition, a Dog Show, Face Painting, BBQ, Craft Demonstrations, Auto Jumble, Vintage Car Rally, Street Theatre and Country Market
