The heritage of Leitrim is a rich and varied one with historical sites and buildings, unspoilt natural environment and a wealth of musical heritage. The wealth of enigmatic monuments such as Prince Conal’s Grave and the Parkes Castle, in the north of the county, highlights our built heritage. Our natural heritage can be seen in the unspoilt landscapes of the county and our musical heritage starts in the 18th centyr with Turlough O’Carolan’s stay in Mohill and continues to be highlighted today by musicians such as the Lennon Brothers and London based Brian Rooney fr0m Kiltyclogher.
