In the centre of the village of Kiltyclogher is a Memorial to Sean MacDiarmada, one of the leaders of the 1916 Rising.
Sean Mac Diarmada’s family home is open to visitors and is situated less than a mile outside the village just off the Manorhamilton road. The three roomed cottage overlooks Upper Lough MacNean. Tours start from Kiltyclogher Heritage Centre in the village
The Kiltyclogher Traditional Music and Set Dancing Weekend takes place in mid-August and during this time there are sessiuns, concerts and classes as well as a door-dancing competition.
